Passenger FAQs

How do I order a taxi with CABI?

Download the CABI app, create an account, enter your destination and request a taxi. You'll also be able to track your driver in real time and pay securely through the app.

What fees will I pay for my journey?

The cost of your journey is made up of:

  • The taxi fare, calculated using the official taxi meter rates set by the NTA (National Transport Authority).
  • A fixed €0.50 Platform Fee, charged per booking through the CABI app.

The Platform Fee helps support the operation of the CABI platform, including payment processing, app maintenance, customer support and ongoing service improvements. As CABI currently operates as a cashless platform, all payments are processed securely through the app. The Platform Fee is displayed before you confirm your booking.

Are all CABI drivers licensed?

Yes. All drivers using the CABI platform must hold a valid SPSV licence issued by the National Transport Authority (NTA) and comply with all applicable licensing, insurance and regulatory requirements.

Can I book a taxi in advance?

Yes, CABI allows you to schedule journeys in advance directly through the app, making it easier to plan airport transfers and other important trips.

What if I leave an item in a taxi?

If you've left an item behind, you can contact your driver directly through the CABI app. If you're unable to recover your item, please contact support@cabi.ie and we'll be happy to help.
