What documents do I need to sign up?
To join CABI, you'll need:
- A valid SPSV licence and driving licence.
- Proof of insurance.
- Taxi vehicle licence (SPSV vehicle licence).
- A recent profile photo.
- An account with Stripe. You can do this on your driver app in the wallet section
Why does CABI charge a monthly membership fee?
CABI was built with drivers in mind. Rather than relying on high commission rates, we use a small monthly membership fee to help support the platform. The membership fee is automatically deducted from your driver account balance each month. This allows us to keep commission rates lower and put more of each fare back into drivers' pockets.
Commission, tips and cancellations — how does it work?
CABI charges a 10% commission on completed journeys. Passengers can leave tips through the app, and 100% of all tips go directly to the driver. If a passenger cancels a booking after the applicable cancellation period, a €4 cancellation fee may apply, with the driver receiving the fee less the standard CABI commission.
How do I get paid?
Driver earnings are paid weekly directly to your nominated bank account through Stripe.
When your account is approved, make sure you follow the steps to create an account with Stripe. You can do this in the wallet section on the driver app. Make sure you do this before accepting any jobs 🚕
Can I accept cash payments?
No. CABI currently operates as a cashless platform, with all payments processed securely through the app.
Is there a long term commitment to drive with CABI?
No, there is no long-term contracts or commitments. If you wish to deactivate your CABI driver account, please contact drivers@cabi.ie. Once your account has been deactivated, you may rejoin CABI at anytime.
